Lab on a chip is just one branch in the comprehensive world of micro- and nanotechnology. These chips run on fluids, and are meant to reduce the laboratory to a microscopic size. Conceiving and making these Lab on a chips requires knowledge of the behavior of fluids on micro-scale as well as production techniques and materials required. Come and experiment with the Lab on a Chip using an educational trunk, and make your own chip with a laminating machine.
The trunk is designed by a certified teaching method about NLT (Nature, Life and Technology) for high school kids. The lab sessions can be carried out using the educational trunk that has been borrowed to the University of Twente by Beta Steunpunt Oost.
